Kourtney Pennington has joined Kissito Healthcare as Director of Operational Reimbursement. She has worked in long-term care (LTC) for the last 10 years; serving on the front-line as a nurse aide, activities aide through college—working up to a Nursing Home Administrator. She has four years of experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing).

Pennington has led centers who earned National Quality Bronze Awards (2019, 2021) and Silver Award (2022) through the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living. Her center also received recognition for top facilities in the country for customer satisfaction, cleanliness, and food services. Her Assisted Living received deficiency free surveys for three years.
She earned a bachelor’s in business administration emphasizing in healthcare and a master’s in health care administration both through Marshall University.

 Pennington holds: Quality Certified Professional (QCP) and Resident Assessment Coordinator (RAC-CT) and holds a license as a Nursing Home Administrator in the state of West Virginia. She serves on the Medicaid Advisory Board for West Virginia.
