The new year is about to begin, and it is always an exciting time to look ahead, but also reflect on the past year for the important lessons we have learned and look back on the success of the past year for our Kissito Healthcare residents, families, employees, and our communities.
We are here for our residents, and our centers continue to be recognized for clinical achievements. Five Kissito Healthcare centers ranked in the top 100 skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) in Virginia. There are 282 SNFs throughout the commonwealth. The Brian Center Alleghany and Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab ranked in the top 10.
Bland Nursing & Rehab came in at 38th, the Springs Nursing & Rehab at 51st, and the Brian Center Fincastle 83rd.
The rankings come from the Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services Five-Star Rating Program, and data compiled and analyzed for long-term trends by the America Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).
The Top-Line report considers a center’s annual inspection survey, staffing data pertaining to turnover and the number of staff hours per resident day, and quality measure data to determine the ranking, and measures that against the other providers in the state.
We have been able to grow Kissito Healthcare with a variety of new employees and leaders from the SNF profession. These news additions to our leadership team will bring decades of SNF experience that will be a huge benefit to our patients and families.
In 2022, we were excited to launch a new website to improve our digital footprint to represent our organization, values, services, and goals more accurately. Within 90 days of launching, the new Kissito Healthcare website reached more than 9,043 search impressions, which is the number of times our website showed up in search results. New features on the website include a SNF blog that educates visitors about different topics important in long-term care, therapy, and the different roles our caregivers provide daily.
Several Kissito Healthcare centers have undergone renovations to update the centers for more updated amenities and creating an even more homelike environment for residents. Improvements at several centers included new flooring, handrails for safety, fresh paint, and new furniture. Two locations, Mulberry Creek Nursing & Rehab and Warsaw Nursing & Rehab, have upgraded their centers and now feature private rehab suites to help promote faster healing, and combined with our top-notch clinical, rehab and support teams, will be a huge benefit to our residents, families, and communities.
Also, we want to recognize our amazing teams for their continued resilience in protecting our residents and each other as the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed to more normal way of life. We are eternally grateful to our teams for all they have done since early March 2020 to ensure the safety of our residents.
With another year set to begin, we are excited for the growth our organization has achieved with hard work, dedication, and faith. We will continue to serve our residents, families, communities, and God. We know that with our faith and dedication, 2023 will continue to bless us with success.
