Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab Chief Administrative Officer named Administrator of the Year by Kissito Healthcare

Lebanon, VA – Kissito Healthcare has named Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Amanda Dowell as their 2023 Administrator of the Year. The award is given annually to one of Kissito Healthcare’s nursing home administrators for demonstrating exceptional leadership and a commitment to care for their residents, families, employees, and communities.

“Amanda has shown incredible leadership in her young career in the skilled nursing profession,” said Mary Ferrell, Vice President of Operations for Kissito Healthcare. “The residents, families, employees, and community are blessed, as we are at Kissito Healthcare, to have her as a team member and friend.”

Dowell has been the CAO at Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab since 2018, and before that role she served as the Human Resource and Accounts Payable Coordinator at Maple Grove. She has also worked in other senior health and patient-centered roles during her career.

Under Dowell’s leadership, Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab has earned a Five-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Nursing Home Rating program. Also in 2023, Maple Grove Nursing & Rehab was certified by a leading physician network that promotes and recognizes skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) that focuses on wound care, treatment, and management. Vohra Wound Physicians certified Maple Grove as a Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Only 10% of Vohra’s skilled nursing facility partners have qualified for this annual certification.

She received a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Business Management from East Tennessee State University in 2011 and has recently served as the Russell County Virginia Rotary Club.
